Top Bathroom Tile Trends 2020

Picking out the tile for your bathroom is one of the most important parts of its design. Tile is no longer just about their functionality in the bathroom but their ability to show your personal style and taste. There are so many styles, shapes, colors, and textures it can be hard to decide which you should use to complete your bathrooms design. Our design team has put together a list of the top bathroom tile trends. With so many to choose from we are sure we can help you choose the right one for your bathroom.

Shape

While a traditional square or rectangle tile is still gorgeous, shaped tiles and patterns are a great look. Octagons, chevron, and size combinations are all trends we love. Try pairing different size rectangles together for a textured back splash. Tiles laid in a chevron pattern offer a clean and modern feel. Shaped tiles, like pictured above, give a great textured feel and give you a chance to customize even more.

Matte Finish

While most bathrooms are done in light colored shining tile, we have seen an increase in matte finished tile. With the right accents and design, it is one of our favorite trends of all time! While the traditional glossy tile is thought to offer a cleaner look, in the right format a matte finish can be just as effective. A matte finish on both dark and light tiles can give your bathroom a sophisticated, timeless look.

Subway Tiles with Dimension

Subway tiles have been on trend for quite some time, but this year brings a new twist. Instead of simple white subway tiles try textured or colored subway tiles. Our favorite this season is a marbled subway tile. It still offers the same clean, neutral color look but adds a lot of dimension and personality to your room.

Pattern Tiles

Color and patterns are big this season. While a clean, white bathroom is still beautiful, adding an accent of color allows you to show a bit of style. Patterned tiles are a great way to add a sophisticated yet unique accent. Solid colored tiles can also make for a great back splash or accent piece. Adding color is a great way to make the space your own and show off your unique style.

Plank Flooring

Tile makes great flooring in the bathroom, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have the wood plank style flooring you have elsewhere. Wood plank tiles can be custom-made to size and offer all the charm of wood with the water and stain resistance of tile. They offer a great natural looking texture giving your bathroom an inviting and warm feeling.
